New Jersey – Required Gender Equity Notice.

As of January 6, 2014, New Jersey employers with 50 or more employees, whether in the state or elsewhere, must post and distribute a gender equity notice issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. This notice must be conspicuously posted in an employee-accessible area in each workplace, which may be the company intranet if it is available to all employees.  A written copy of the notice must be distributed to all current employees no later than February 5, 2014, and must be given to all new employees upon hire.  In addition, a written copy of the notice must be distributed annually to each employee.  The distributions may be made by email, by paper, or through a company intranet if accessible by all employees and if the employer provides notice of the intranet posting.  An acknowledgement of receipt must be issued with the written notice, and signed/electronically acknowledged and returned by each employee within 30 days of receiving the notice.
