William J. Rosenthal is nationally recognized for his expertise and accomplishments in the field of labor and employment law. His legal ability and accomplishments have been honored by his inclusion in Who’s Who in American Law and on the list of the Best Lawyers in America.

While representing clients in many industries, Bill has particular expertise in the areas of state and federal agencies, hotels and restaurants, casinos, transportation, warehousing and distribution, clothing manufacturing and retail, defense and space exploration, papermaking, packaging and container, printing, and education.

Bill has been actively involved in both private and public sector bargaining and has appeared as an expert witness on labor law before the United States Congress and state legislatures. He has appeared regularly as a lecturer at labor law conferences, including the New York University Annual Conference on Labor where Bill lectured on "Issues in Decertification Proceedings" and the Boston University Labor Law Institute where he addressed the subject of "Dealing with Striker Misconduct." He also speaks on the subject of grievance processing and arbitration at American Arbitration Association Workshops.

Bill is a long time member of the American Bar Association Committee on NLRB Practice and Procedure and was a contributing editor of B.N.A.’s "The Developing Labor Law, The Board, The Courts and the National Labor Relations Act."

Before joining the Firm in 1950, Bill was an Administrative Assistant in the national Office of Price Administration in Washington, D.C., where he participated in the formulation and administration of World War II price control and rationing programs. He also served in World War II from 1942 - 1946 as a deck officer in the United States Navy, and participated in the D-Day Normandy invasion.
