Patrick M. Pilachowski has represented employers for over 25 years in all aspects of labor relations matters, including unit determinations, representation elections, and collective bargaining. He also has extensive experience with employment matters, defending employers in employment contract litigation, employment discrimination, and OSHA/Maryland OSHA matters. He advises clients on compliance with anti-discrimination statutes as well as wage and hour laws.

Pat represents clients in several industries with a particular concentration on industry issues arising in healthcare, utilities, tool and instrument manufacturing, and education. Pat’s clients include Calvert Memorial Hospital, various Danaher Corporation subsidiaries, Bally Block, Penco Corporation, SMECO, Choptank Electric Cooperative, National Gypsum, Manpower, and the Calvert and Frederick County Boards of Education.

Pat has authored or co-authored numerous articles on labor relations including a law review article concerning Title VII class action suits in the William and Mary Law Review, and an article concerning union decertification proceedings for the New York University Annual Conference on Labor, and is a regular contributor to the daily business and legal newspaper, The Daily Record. He was a contributing author of the Employment Law Deskbook, and Employer Rights and Obligations Under The Occupational Safety and Health Act, both of which are published by Matthew Bender.
